Bembridge
Within walking distance of Solent Landing you have a small village with a number of local shops that include a bakers, fishmongers, butchers, nail bar, hair dressers, chemist a small co-op for basic needs and a number of eateries.
Heading west past the houseboats following the harbour you will find yourself in St Helens. Ring the changes by picking up the water taxi for your trip back.
Walk east along the beach and tide depending you will find yourself at the Lifeboat Station which has open days most weekends.
Visit Bembridge windmill the only surviving one on the island.

Sandown:
Here we have miles of soft golden sands crowned by Sandown’s pleasure pier.
Popular bucket and spade beach for the family and surfers.
You’ll find a number of places for take away teas and coffees and hot chips.
There are activities on the seafront for the children to let off additional steam including trampolining, crazy golf and skynets.
Sandown is linked with a walkway along the seafront to Shanklin for the keen walkers.
Shanklin:
A popular seaside beach resort the main attractions being the sandy beach, the picture postcard old village, and Shanklin Chine with waterfalls, trees and footpaths.
Try your luck at Jurassic Bay Adventure Golf.
Ventnor:
A beach fronted town built on steep slopes with its own micro-climate and vintage beach huts.
In the town you will find a number of vintage and antique shops making it a popular shopping destination.
Compton Bay:
Popular with wind and kite surfers and one of the best areas for fossil hunting.
There is generally an Ice cream van in the National Trust carpark.
Ryde:
To the east of the pier you will find Appley beach, with fine golden sands bordered by a lush green park with a small playground for younger children.
Perfect for a family day out.
Godshill:
Quaint picturesque village with a number of tearooms and an interesting range of shops. Ranging from local crafts and produce including pickles, biscuits and ciders.
A visit to the model village is a must.
Carisbrooke Castle
Located in the town of Newport, walk around the walls and brush up on your history and don’t forget to hunt out the local Carisbrooke donkeys.
Osbourne House
Located on the outskirts of East Cowes the former residence of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
